Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the website www.taxmargin.com and the online tools on it, including TaxMargin Pro (Bank Statement to Tally), the TaxMargin Tally Connector, the GST Reconciliation Tool and any tools sold through the AI Automation Store (together, the “Services”). The Services are provided by Tax Margin, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi – 110063, India (“Tax Margin”, “we”, “us”).
By ticking “I agree” when creating an account, by signing in, or by otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Services on behalf of a firm or company, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and do not need a physical or digital signature.
1. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.
- Give accurate details when you register and keep them up to date. One account is for one person; do not share your password.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your password and devices secure. Tell us at once at taxmargin.com@gmail.com if you think your account has been misused.
2. Information only, not professional advice
Articles, calculators, due-date calendars and other content on this website are general information. They are not legal, tax, accounting or investment advice, and they may not reflect the latest notifications, circulars or extensions. Using the website or the tools does not create a professional engagement between you and Tax Margin. A professional engagement exists only under a separate written engagement letter or agreement. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks; read all scheme-related documents carefully.
3. The tools are aids: you must check the results
- TaxMargin Pro, the Tally Connector and the GST Reconciliation Tool help you prepare entries and reports. They read statements using text extraction, OCR and, where you choose it, artificial intelligence. These methods can make mistakes, for example a misread amount, date, narration or GSTIN, or a wrong ledger suggestion.
- You must review every transaction, voucher, ledger mapping and report before you post it to Tally, rely on it, or use it in any return, filing, claim or statement to any authority. You remain fully responsible for your books of account, your tax returns and filings, and for any tax, interest, late fee or penalty.
- Take a backup of your Tally company data before pushing vouchers into it. Vouchers posted through the Connector are written to your Tally company like any other entry.
- Only upload statements and data that you are entitled to use. If you upload data about your clients or other people, you confirm that you have their consent or another lawful basis under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 to share it with us for processing.
- Free features, trial limits, free periods and usage limits (for example, the number of statements that can be read with AI each day) may change or end at any time.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Services for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to prepare false books, invoices or returns;
- upload malware, or files you are not entitled to share;
